Frequently Asked Questions
Are the leggings safe for pregnancy?
Yes! All our materials are certified Standard 100 by OEK-TEX, meaning they are perfectly safe for the body. The compression is designed to support and not squeeze - with more than enough stretch to accomodate your growing body safely.
Which length should I choose for my height?
If you are 165 cm or less we recommend to choose the 7/8 length for a full length look.
What is the material like?
We use a high density stretchy fabric that feels smooth to touch and soft on the skin with a matte finish.
Do they get a lot of fluff and hairs stuck on them?
No! We spent 12 gruelling months designing these leggings and making sure they stayed soft and smooth and clean was not negotiable!
Stitching to Reduce Irritation
We only use flat lock stitching because it is strong and does not cause skin irritation.
The waist seam is designed to go around the "belly baby bump" - not to cut through it.

Made from the emamaco Supaflex fabrics used across our maternity range, the leggings are smooth, super soft, breathable and fit like a second skin.

Size Guide
Umstands- emamaco Leggings and shorts range:
We recommend to pick your Größe based on your pre-Schwangerschafts- Größe and your hip measurement.
We find that in most cases everyone will fit 2 Größes depending on whether you like a super tight fit or a snug fit.
The most accurate way to get fitted is by measuring around the widest part of your hips around the centre of your bum. Just Like in the photo below.
If you are in between Größes you can choose whether you would like a tighter or a snug fit.
For example, if your hip measurement in 100cm and you are normally a Größe 8, then you would choose either:
- XS for a tighter fit
- or S for a snug fit
If you find when you receive the leggings they feel super tight don't worry they are a compression fabric so they are meant to feel tight. After a couple of hours of wear they will shape and loosen with your body. But if you put then on and they are feeling super tight to the point they are too restrictive or too uncomfortable then we recommend to Größe up.
If when you try them on for a couple of hours walking around the house if you notice they are slipping down or falling at the crotch it means you need to Größe down.
Please note that our Größe chart is a guide and everyone and every body shape is different. In most cases you will only need only one Größe for your whole Schwangerschafts- but some people do need to Größe up towards the end of their Schwangerschafts-.
